Job Summary:

The General Manager - Accounts & Finance will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire financial ecosystem of the organization. This role is critical in driving financial planning, budgeting, statutory compliance, audit governance, taxation, banking operations, cost optimization, and working capital management. The GM will also provide strategic insight to the leadership team, ensuring financial prudence while enabling sustainable business growth across manufacturing and sales verticals.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop annual and quarterly financial plans aligned with company goals.

- Conduct scenario modeling, variance analysis, and provide actionable insights to management.

- Monitor financial performance metrics and business KPIs for continuous improvement.

- Oversee maintenance of accurate accounting records in compliance with applicable standards (Ind AS).

- Ensure timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.

- Coordinate with statutory, cost, and internal auditors for smooth completion of audits.

- Design and implement systems for effective financial reporting and MIS.

- Present financial dashboards and business analytics to the senior leadership.

- Identify financial risks and recommend controls for mitigation.

- Establish costing mechanisms for products, installations, and AMC contracts.

- Track variances against standard costs and budgets, initiate cost reduction strategies.

- Analyze margins across business units and recommend pricing improvements.

- Manage all aspects of direct and indirect taxation - including GST, TDS, Advance Tax, and Income Tax.

- Coordinate with tax consultants and lawyers for assessments and litigation matters.

- Ensure 100% statutory compliance across Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, PF, ESIC, PT, etc.

- Maintain relationships with multiple banks for working capital and term loans.

- Handle documentation and execution of LC/BG, bill discounting, fund transfers.

- Track interest costs and evaluate refinancing or debt restructuring opportunities.

- Optimize the cash conversion cycle: Accounts Receivable, Payable, and Inventory levels.

- Prepare and monitor weekly/monthly cash flow forecasts to ensure liquidity.

- Collaborate with sales and commercial teams for collection drives.

- Lead ERP (SAP/Oracle/MS Dynamics/Tally Prime) finance module implementations or upgrades.

- Ensure seamless integration between accounts, billing, procurement, and sales modules.

- Automate reporting and enable data-driven decision-making.

- Design, implement, and monitor internal financial controls.

- Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit findings, and corporate governance norms.

- Drive risk mitigation initiatives across financial processes.

- Recruit, train, and manage finance and accounts team.

- Set KPIs, monitor team performance, and develop a high-performance culture.

- Promote cross-functional collaboration with operations, sales, procurement, and HR.
