Position: General Manager - Accounts & Finance

About the Role:
The General Manager - Accounts & Finance will oversee the organization's complete financial management, strategic planning, and system development. The role involves handling cash flow, budgeting, financial reporting, and P&L management, while acting as a key contributor to business growth and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Strategy
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with long-term business objectives.
- Conduct strategic and financial analysis to support decision-making and business growth.
- Evaluate investment opportunities, feasibility studies, and R&D funding decisions.
2. Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
- Monitor daily cash flow, fund management, and banking operations.
- Optimize working capital and ensure liquidity for operational efficiency.
- Manage financial risks and maintain optimal capital structure.
3. Budgeting, Forecasting & P&L Management
- Lead annual budgeting and forecasting cycles.
- Monitor P&L accounts, variance analysis, and financial KPIs.
- Present management reports with actionable insights for profitability improvement.
4. Financial Control & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, accounting standards, and tax laws.
- Liaise with auditors, banks, and financial institutions.
- Strengthen internal controls, governance, and cost optimization measures.
5. System Development & Process Improvement
- Develop and implement robust financial systems, SOPs, and automation processes.
- Drive digital transformation within the finance function for efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless process integration.
Need to Have:
- Strategy & Analysis: Ability to analyze financial data, develop strategic insights, and support management in key business decisions.
- System & Process Development: Expertise in designing, implementing, and improving financial systems, controls, and operational processes.
- Research & Development (R&D): Strong understanding of financial evaluation and investment planning for R&D initiatives and innovation projects.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) / CMA / MBA (Finance) from a reputed institute.
- Experience: 15-20 years in Finance & Accounts, with at least 5+ years in a leadership role in the engineering / industrial / manufacturing sector.
- Expertise: Cash flow management, P&L handling, strategy formulation, process development, and R&D financial analysis.
- Skills: Strategic thinking, analytical mindset, leadership, and strong business acumen.
