General Manager - Accounts & Finance - CA

Role Overview:

The General Manager - Accounts & Finance will act as a Finance Controller for a designated company within the business group.

This role involves providing strategic financial leadership, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, managing financial risks, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the corporate accounting team

- Spherehead the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

- Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making.

- Lead the improvement and maintenance of SAP FICO, ensuring efficient and effective utilization of the system.

- Monitor and manage financial risks, including credit risk, liquidity risk, and operational risk.

- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including GST, income tax, and other applicable taxes.

- Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, and other financial institutions.

- Commercial negotiations with respect to long-term contracts, new endeavours and project management

- Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy

- Collaborate with business unit heads to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.

Required Skillset:

- Qualified Chartered Accountant

- Proven expertise in corporate accounting, financial management, and commercial decision-making making

- In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and regulatory requirements.

- Hands-on experience with SAP FICO

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex financial issues.
