Role Overview - To support the Debt Origination Desk and broader business. This role requires a sharp legal mind, commercial acumen, and hands-on experience in structured finance. Responsibilities: - Serve as a collaborative legal partner to business teams, delivering actionable and commercially relevant legal guidance with a focus on structured debt products. - Take ownership of end-to-end legal execution for complex transactions including asset-backed lending, NCD issuances, and securitizations-ensuring timelines, accuracy, and regulatory compliance. - Draft, review, and negotiate high-stakes financing documents while identifying legal risks and proposing innovative, risk-mitigated solutions. - Provide legal input on the structuring and development of new investment products, with an emphasis on minimizing legal exposure and optimizing commercial positioning. - Collaborate and negotiate with internal stakeholders across departments and external counsel to ensure smooth transaction execution. - Lead and mentor junior legal team members on financing matters, supporting their growth and ensuring consistency and quality in deliverables. Candidate Profile: - 6-7 years of post-qualification experience with a blend of top-tier law firm and in-house experience, preferably within financial services or investment platforms. - Solid background in structured finance, with hands-on experience in negotiating NCD documentation, loan agreements, and securitization structures. - Exposure to debt capital markets or similar investment structures is a strong advantage. - Exceptional communication and project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - High attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
