Accountant - Finance Systems & Automation

Location: Chennai (Hybrid)

We are seeking a tech-savvy professional with strong experience in AI tools, data platforms, and ERP systems, who can drive automation and innovation across finance operations. While a background in accounting is a plus, the ideal candidate will be deeply skilled in technology, data engineering, and AI integration with the ability to step into systems like Oracle, BlackLine, and contribute to automation initiatives.

This role sits at the intersection of Finance and IT (FINTECH), supporting system enhancements, data accuracy, and process efficiency. Youll collaborate across finance, IT, and business teams to implement new tools, optimize reporting, and support scalable automation.

Objectives

- Lead and support automation initiatives across Oracle ERP, BlackLine, and other finance systems.

- Build and optimize SQL queries and dashboards for financial data analysis and reconciliation.

- Develop and maintain reporting solutions using BI tools (BO/BI) and data platforms like Snowflake.

- Integrate and experiment with AI tools such as Copilot, ChatGPT, Glean, and other emerging technologies.

- Participate in system configuration, user access management, and Oracle Sys Admin tasks.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new tools and improve data workflows.

- Support financial close processes and ensure data integrity across systems.

- Contribute to continuous improvement in finance operations through technology-driven solutions

Competencies

- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Accounting/Finance background is a plus.

- 3+ years of experience in IT, data engineering, or finance systems support.

- Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP (R12 or Cloud) and BlackLine.

- Strong SQL skills and experience building reports/dashboards in BO/BI or similar tools.

- Exposure to AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot, Glean) and data platforms (e.g., Snowflake).

- Advanced Excel skills, including automation and data modeling.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment.

- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
