Job Title:
GCC Continuous Improvement Head / Lead
Grade: CG4
Reporting to: GCC Head
Role Objective:
- Lead and manage the transition of processes and manpower to the Global Capability Center (GCC) from domestic and international locations.
- Oversee and support the integration of the existing Shared Services Center (SSC) into the GCC.
- Drive continuous improvement, digital transformation, and operational excellence initiatives across the organization.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to optimize processes, implement technology solutions, and enhance efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. GCC Transition & Integration
- Lead and support the transition of processes and manpower to the GCC from various locations in India and abroad.
- Manage the absorption and integration of the existing SSC into the GCC framework.
- Develop and execute transition roadmaps for onboarding additional processes into the GCC.
- Coordinate with cross-functional and cross-geographical stakeholders to ensure seamless transition execution.
2. Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost efficiency, and performance enhancement.
- Apply Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, TQM, and other process improvement methodologies to drive measurable outcomes.
- Lead and/or support continuous improvement projects across functions.
- Promote a culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement within the organization.
3. Technology & Digital Transformation
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to implement SAP-ERP and related technology solutions.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to improve process efficiency, accuracy, and transparency.
- Ensure smooth adoption and integration of new tools and systems.
4. Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Define, monitor, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for transitioned and improved processes.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret performance data to support decision-making.
- Prepare and present progress updates, dashboards, and improvement plans to senior management.
5. Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Build strong working relationships across departments and locations.
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and review sessions to drive alignment and identify improvement opportunities.
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders at all organizational levels.
6. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure all transitioned and improved processes comply with industry standards, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Support governance frameworks related to global operations and risk management.
Job Requirements:
Professional Experience:
- 5-7+ years of experience in the manufacturing sector with exposure to process improvement and transformation initiatives.
- Proven experience in GCC implementation, SSC integration, or large-scale transition projects within manufacturing.
- Experience in the steel and power industry is highly desirable.
- Strong expertise in Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
- Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- Green Belt certification acceptable with relevant experience.
- Hands-on experience with SAP-ERP systems and related technology initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities.
Academic Qualifications & Certifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Masters degree is an added advantage.
- Certification or practical experience in Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, TQM, or related frameworks.
- Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of global business operations and regulatory compliance requirements.
