Role Overview:

The Legal Manager will be responsible for overseeing all legal, compliance, and intellectual property matters of the organization. The role involves managing IPR portfolios, handling corporate legal affairs, mitigating risks, and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs):

- Manage and protect the companys intellectual property rights (patents, trademarks, copyrights, and industrial designs).

- Conduct trademark searches, filings, and renewals to ensure brand protection and compliance.

- Handle all legal documentation, contracts, and agreements across business functions.

- Provide legal advice and support on corporate law, regulatory compliance, and commercial transactions.

- Oversee and coordinate litigation management, including drafting responses, briefing external counsel, and representing the company in legal matters.

- Develop and implement company-wide policies and procedures for legal compliance and risk management.

- Liaise with government bodies, legal authorities, and external legal advisors as required.

- Support business units with legal due diligence, mergers, acquisitions, and partnerships.

- Maintain updated knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry practices relevant to FMCG operations.

- Train internal teams on legal awareness, compliance, and intellectual property protection.

Required Skillsets:

- Strong knowledge of Indian Patent Act, Trademark Act, Copyright Act, Designs Act, and Geographical Indications Act.

- Excellent understanding of corporate, commercial, and contract law.

- Proven experience in litigation management, legal drafting, and regulatory compliance.

- Strategic mindset with the ability to mitigate legal risks and support business objectives.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in legal research, documentation, and contract management systems.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
