Fundtec - Assistant Manager - Fund Accounting - Hedge & Private Equity

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fund Accounting Manager to join our dynamic team. The Manager will oversee all aspects of fund accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership abilities, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of accounting principles and investment products.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage and supervise a team of fund accountants, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.

- Oversee the day-to-day fund accounting operations, including NAV calculation, reconciliation, and financial reporting.

- Review and approve fund financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.

- Develop and implement processes and controls to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of fund accounting operations.

- Monitor and analyze fund performance and financial metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.

- Collaborate with other departments, including investment management, legal, and compliance, to address fund-related issues and initiatives.

- Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in fund accounting and investment management.

Requirements:

- Experience: 5+ years of core fund accounting experience preferred.

- Expertise: End-to-end fund accounting in hedge funds and private equity.

- Team Management: Prior experience in leading and mentoring a team.

- Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of fund structures, NAV calculations, and compliance requirements.

- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data and ensure accuracy.

- Communication: Strong interpersonal and reporting skills for effective coordination with stakeholders.
