ZONAL HEAD - UTTAR PRADESH

Friss India | Senior Leadership Role

Friss India is appointing a Zonal Head - Uttar Pradesh to lead one of its most strategic and high-growth regions. This role is designed for a self-starter, lone wolf leader who thrives in high ownership environments and can deliver measurable results from Day 1 without hand-holding.

This position reports directly to the CEO and carries full P&L-level responsibility for the zone.

WALK-IN INTERVIEW DETAILS

Venue: Hotel Casa, Aishbagh - Lucknow

Dates: 15th & 16th December

Interview Timing: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Zonal Head will be responsible for building, scaling, and dominating the Uttar Pradesh market through:

- Aggressive franchise expansion

- High-quality vendor onboarding

- Strong team leadership

- Disciplined execution & accountability

This is not a planning-only role. The candidate must lead from the front, be field-oriented, and capable of making decisions independently.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES (DETAILED):

Zonal Leadership & Business Ownership:

- Own complete zonal performance including revenue, growth, team productivity, and execution quality.

- Design and execute zone-level business strategies aligned with company objectives.

- Establish Friss India as a dominant brand presence across major UP cities.

- Take full responsibility for success and failure of the zone.

Franchise Development & Expansion:

- Lead end-to-end onboarding of new franchise partners across Uttar Pradesh.

- Identify potential markets, cities, and micro-locations for expansion.

- Conduct franchise presentations, negotiations, and closures.

- Ensure franchise activation, launch, and ongoing performance.

- Build long-term, profitable franchise relationships.

Vendor On-Boarding & Market Expansion:

- On-board new vendors, sellers, and strategic partners.

- Ensure vendor readiness, compliance, and revenue contribution.

- Build scalable vendor ecosystems to support franchise growth.

- Resolve vendor-related escalations and operational challenges.

- Team Building & Large-Scale People Management

Hire, train, and manage large cross-functional teams including:

- Business Development

- Sales

- HR

- Operations

- Build a performance-driven culture with strong discipline and accountability.

- Set clear KPIs, review performance regularly, and take corrective actions.

- Handle high-pressure situations, attrition, and escalations effectively.

CEO Coordination & Strategic Execution:

- Work directly with the CEO on planning, execution, and performance reporting.

- Provide real-time market intelligence, competitor insights, and growth opportunities.

- Convert leadership vision into ground-level execution.

- Represent the company at strategic meetings, partnerships, and negotiations.

Execution, Discipline & Results:

- Ensure execution from Day 1 with zero learning-curve excuses.

- Track daily, weekly, and monthly performance metrics.

- Drive revenue, closures, and operational efficiency.

- Maintain high ethical and professional standards.

IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE (NON-NEGOTIABLE):

Experience:

- Minimum 3+ years in a leadership role (Zonal / Regional / Business Head).

- Proven experience in Franchise Business, Retail, Q-Commerce, Marketplace, Distribution, or Large Sales Networks.

- Demonstrated success in handling large teams and multi-city operations.

Education:

- MBA / Leadership program from IIM, IIT, or other premier institutions preferred

- Mindset & Personality

- Lone wolf, self-starter, hustler mindset.

- Thrives under pressure and ambiguity.

- Needs no supervision and no motivation from others.

- Highly result-oriented and accountable.

- Comfortable taking tough decisions.

- First preference will be given to female leaders with strong execution capabilities.
