What you will do:

- Lead the legal front as the primary point of contact for various high-priority business projects, ensuring strict alignment with corporate objectives and risk appetite.

- Manage Business-as-Usual (BAU) operations by providing expert corporate advisory and overseeing end-to-end contract vetting across all business verticals.

- Drive governance and regulatory compliance initiatives, acting as the primary advisor for adherence to RBI and NPCI frameworks and guidelines.

- Act as the subject matter expert on data privacy and data protection regulations, ensuring comprehensive implementation across all organizational verticals.

- Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements to effectively mitigate legal risks while enabling sustainable business growth.

- Establish and optimize internal legal processes to streamline contract management and compliance tracking across the organization.

- Act as the subject matter expert on data privacy and protection regulations, ensuring robust implementation of DPDP compliance across the organization.

What are we looking for :

Essential Qualifications:

- 6-8 years of proven experience in corporate legal, contract management, and regulatory compliance.

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized and accredited institution.

- In-depth practical knowledge of RBI and NPCI regulations, guidelines, and governance frameworks.

- Extensive hands-on experience in end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including vetting, drafting, and negotiation.

- Strong expertise in current data privacy and data protection laws with a proven track record of cross-vertical implementation.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup or a dynamic fintech environment.

- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to clearly communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal business leaders.

- Advanced certifications in Data Privacy (such as CIPP) or related regulatory compliances.

- Demonstrated ability to work independently, taking complete ownership of projects and proactively identifying potential legal risks.
