Foxconn Hon Hai Technology - Deputy Manager - New Product Introduction

Role Overview

Responsible for leading end-to-end New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from concept validation to mass production. The role requires close collaboration with customers, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth product launches, operational readiness, and efficient production ramp-up. The incumbent will manage cross-functional execution, resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage New Product Introduction (NPI) programs from prototype stage through pilot runs and full-scale production.

- Develop and execute detailed project plans covering timelines, milestones, resources, and risk mitigation.

- Ensure all NPI deliverables such as process validation, documentation, tooling readiness, and production trials are completed on schedule.

- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues that may impact product launch timelines.

- Ensure manufacturing and operational readiness for new product launches including line setup, process validation, and equipment readiness.

- Work closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure production lines meet required quality and efficiency standards.

- Support production ramp-up activities and ensure smooth transition from NPI to mass production.

- Act as the primary interface with customers during the NPI lifecycle.

- Gather and translate customer requirements into actionable operational and engineering deliverables.

- Provide regular project status updates and coordinate resolution of technical or operational issues.

- Manage customer escalations and ensure timely closure of action items.

- Coordinate with internal teams including engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and procurement to ensure alignment on NPI activities.

- Lead cross-functional meetings to track project milestones and address challenges.

- Ensure effective communication across stakeholders to maintain project momentum.

- Address NPI and mass production challenges related to process stability, yield improvement, and product quality.

- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.

- Implement process improvements to enhance productivity and operational efficiency.

- Build, train, and manage Operations Program Management (OPM) and Capex teams to support manufacturing expansion and automation initiatives.

- Plan and manage capital expenditure projects related to manufacturing equipment, automation, and production infrastructure.

- Ensure optimal utilization of automation systems and industrial equipment within the manufacturing setup.
