Job Description: Finance Head

Location: Chandigarh

Department: Finance

Reports to: General Manager / Managing Director

Drive strategic and operational leadership of finance functions for Banqueting & Catering businesses in Chandigarh, ensuring compliance, profitability, and process excellence.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, MIS reporting, and financial planning for banquet and catering operations.

- Lead and manage accounts, payables/receivables, cost control, revenue optimization, and internal controls.

- Review and analyze P&L, cash flows, and operational metrics specific to banquet and catering projects.

- Ensure statutory compliance with GST, TDS, income tax, and other regulations; coordinate with auditors and tax authorities.

- Implement financial best practices, controls, and ERP systems tailored to banqueting/catering.

- Partner with operations and sales teams to plan profitable events, track margins, and control expenses.

- Support leadership in decision-making with clear financial analysis and recommendations.

- Mentor and supervise the finance team; drive a culture of continuous process improvement and financial integrity.

- Manage vendor contracts, payment cycles, and timely disbursements to suppliers and service partners.

- Conduct variance analysis, highlight cost-saving opportunities, and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

- CA/MBA (Finance) or equivalent, with experience in hospitality/banqueting/catering.

- Minimum 8-12 years of overall finance experience, including at least 4 years in a leadership role.

- Strong expertise in budgeting, compliance, MIS, financial modeling, event/catering cost controls.

- Proficiency in Tally, SAP, or hospitality ERP systems.

- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

- High integrity and process orientation; experience in audit and statutory reporting.
