About the Role
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Forex Trader (Strategy Lead) to head our forex trading desk, design high-performing trading strategies, and consistently drive profitability across global currency markets. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, deep market understanding, and the ability to mentor and lead a team of traders.
Key Responsibilities (KRA)
- Execute high-volume trades across major, minor, and exotic currency pairs
- Develop, test, and optimize proprietary manual or algorithmic trading strategies
- Perform advanced technical, fundamental, and price-action analysis to identify opportunities
- Monitor global macro trends, economic releases, and central bank actions impacting FX markets
- Manage risk through disciplined position sizing, exposure control, and drawdown management
- Maintain accurate trading logs, performance dashboards, and research documentation
- Lead and mentor junior traders in strategy development, risk discipline, and execution quality
- Ensure compliance with internal trading guidelines, risk frameworks, and reporting standards
- Drive continuous enhancement of trading models, tools, and execution workflows
- Collaborate with data, tech, and research teams for strategy automation or optimization
Skillsets Required
- Proven track record in Forex trading with consistent profitability
- Deep understanding of market structure, liquidity, order flow, and trade execution
- Expertise in MT4/MT5, TradingView, Bloomberg, or cTrader platforms
- Strong command of technical analysis tools and indicators
- Excellent grasp of risk management methodologies and capital allocation principles
- Strong numerical, analytical, and decision-making capabilities
- Ability to perform under pressure in high-volatility environments
- Strong communication and leadership skills to guide and evaluate trading teams
- Familiarity with macroeconomics, global markets, and geo-political influences on currencies
Good to Have
- Experience with Python, automation, or algorithmic trading systems
- Exposure to prop trading desks or institutional trading environments
- Relevant certifications such as CFA, FRM, NISM, or Series 3
