Job Summary:

The Contracts and Claims Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, and managing claims to protect the company's interests. This role requires strong negotiation skills, legal acumen, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to mitigate risks and resolve disputes efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage the preparation, review, and negotiation of contracts, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with company policies and legal requirements.

- Monitor contract compliance, identify potential risks, and implement strategies to mitigate contractual liabilities.

- Lead claims management, including the assessment, documentation, and resolution of claims related to delays, damages, or breaches.

- Collaborate with project managers, legal advisors, procurement, and finance teams to ensure contractual terms are met and risks minimized.

- Develop and maintain a contract database and ensure all contractual documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

- Provide training and guidance to internal teams on contract terms, claims procedures, and risk management best practices.

- Prepare reports and present findings on contract performance and claims status to senior management.

- Stay updated on industry regulations, legal changes, and best practices related to contracts and claims management.

- Support dispute resolution processes, including negotiation, mediation, or litigation when necessary.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Contract Management, or a related field.

- Proven experience in contract administration and claims management, preferably in construction, engineering, or related industries.

- Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and claims procedures.

- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.

- Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
