The dynamic, passionate and talented folks we call flipsters ! - On top of this to ensure Flipkart remains a super-efficient ecosystem with focus &amp; emphasis on Operational excellence, Cost Optimization &amp; efficiency. - To enable this scale up a wide variety of teams have participated in building fundamental capabilities. - Retail Design will play a pivotal role in building such capabilities within Retail by reducing variability, increasing reliability &amp; enhancing experience to the vendor &amp; Flipkart ecosystem through the right - Supply &amp; Inventory design- , - Vendor Behaviour shaping design-, - Operations delivery- . - Key Metrics that the team will impact are Cost of doing business in Retail and Cost of Operations. - Supply &amp; Inventory Design team within Retail Design aims to build and deploy the right design of processes / solutions within the Procurement to Inwarding value chain through frameworks, guardrails &amp; cross functional org wide business programs thereby reducing variability in the supply chain / business processes. - The team will also focus on identifying operational inefficiency, driving large cost reduction or efficiency improvement initiatives or launching new supply chain models. - Think of a better way of doing Supply &amp; Inventory Management, this team will play a crucial role in building the fundamentals of the philosophy. Below is the lifecycle of a Business Program in the team. 1) Discovery - Identify the right problem statements that add variability to the supply chain / business processes. 2) Frame Opportunity - Using data question the status quo / assumptions &amp; identify relevant scope of the problem that needs to be solved. 3) Ideate / Incubate - Explore solutions / frameworks &amp; co-create the ideas working with relevant stakeholders. 4) Evaluate - Convert the utopian solution to a viable / feasible / desirable solution together with a plan to reach the utopian solution. 5) Rapid prototype - Run pilots on select products, fail fast, rework the solution and close the solution. 6) Evangelize &amp; Deploy - Work with relevant stakeholders (CDO, IPC, Product, Retail Operations) and deploy the proposed solution to a wider set of businesses in Flipkart. About the Role: The incumbent, in addition to running business programs by using the above framework, will also do the following - - Write business requirements document &amp; work with Inventory Planning team, Category,Business finance, supply chain execution, transportation, Retail Operations in liasioning &amp; evangelizing the same. - Will be responsible for working with all relevant stakeholders within FK to identify all capabilities needed for implementing the solution and prepare a timeline view accordingly for deploying the solution. - Will be responsible for driving cost-benefit analysis and go/no-go decisions, work with relevant business finance and sign-off on approval on all such initiatives identified - Will develop a roadmap and create success metrics to measure the progress of the initiative they own. They will also own writing reports that detail the progress of leadership on a frequent basis - Will work with product / tech teams to scope out and drive any tech changes that are needed - Should exhibit high sense of ownership &amp; be the single owner of the program across the org. - Will be measured on the impact of their project.The impact could be financial / operational benefit which needs to be estimated at the start and progress be made against the same. They are expected to drive the entire project and deliver the above said impact. - Will manage reportees when added basis the need. - The ideal candidate will have strong acumen around supply chain &amp; inventory planning, excellent stakeholder management skills,ability to convince / negotiate with all stakeholders via strong business cases and ability to synthesize a wide variety of transactional problem statements into clearer business programs and build solutions for the same. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: - Top tier MBA with 6-8 years with experience around driving org wide programs - Bachelor's degree preferably in a quantitative field such as business/Engineering - Functional experience in Supply Chain / Inventory Management. CORE COMPETENCIES: Functional: - Strong understanding of supply chain processes and inventory planning principles. (Familiarity in Ecommerce is added advantage). - Strong orientation towards design thinking and Long term problem solving. - Should be very analytical and be able to justify decisions and approaches with data - Should be able to take a complex problem and break it down into smaller digestible chunks - Ability to crystallize disparate ideas into a program, own+run the program and drive it to closure. - Should be comfortable with processes and process design/analysis Behavioural: - Should be able to deal with a high degree of ambiguity. - Influence stakeholders without authority and do so by using data and facts &amp; thereby earn their trust. - Able to function independently with limited guidance - Orientation towards people management &amp; managing a team. Technical -&nbsp;Ability to do data analysis using SQL, R or any scripting language.
