Manager - Ads Sales (Flipkart Ads Business)
About the Team:
- The Central Demand Team is the pivotal 'central spine' of the MP Ads business, holding the overarching responsibility for delivering the entire MP Ads revenue target. Composed of dedicated professionals across specialized pods, we orchestrate demand generation efforts regardless of the originating channel.
- We collaborate closely with key stakeholders including Category Management, Business Finance, Ad Operations, Marketing, Analytics, and Planning teams to optimize seller performance and achieve strategic objectives. You are Responsible for:
- Driving Brand & Seller Success: Conduct daily calls, finalize media plans, and pitch compelling ad packages to brands and sellers, actively managing a portfolio of accounts to optimize their ad performance and directly contribute to revenue targets.
- Campaign Execution & Optimization: Oversee the end-to-end execution of display campaigns, managing creatives, landing pages, and targeting to ensure maximum impact and return on objectives (ROs).
- Problem Resolution & Relationship Management: Act as a key point of contact for operational and platform issues, handling escalations related to payments, growth, and account-specific challenges, while fostering strong relationships with Key Account Managers (KAMs) and resolving legacy issues.
- Data-Driven Planning & Strategy: Contribute to defining growth strategies and setting monthly Business Unit (BU) targets, assisting in data analysis to identify trends and shape actionable "Howlists" that address market gaps.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively participate in weekly review meetings with internal stakeholders, track ad channel performance, and collaborate on initiatives like preparing Seller Level Plans and supporting monthly ad-hoc charters.
- Revenue Operations & Compliance: Ensure timely wallet loading and collections, unblock postpaid brand payments, and process raw files for comprehensive advertisement-related analysis.
- Onboarding & Education: Provide essential training to new brands on the platform's advertising system, campaign setup, and performance tracking, ensuring a smooth and effective onboarding experience.
To succeed in this role - you should have the following:
- Proven experience in ad sales, account management, or a similar client-facing role, preferably within an e-commerce or marketplace environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a portfolio of accounts and drive revenue growth.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in data analysis and using insights to optimize campaigns.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues effectively.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
