Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager Capital Markets to own and drive the end-to-end product strategy, roadmap, and execution for financial services and capital market products. This role requires strong leadership, deep domain knowledge, regulatory awareness, and the ability to collaborate across engineering, design, compliance, sales, and marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the product roadmap for Capital Market and Financial Services products, aligning with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Identify, define, and prioritize product initiatives using structured product management frameworks, including dependency management across APIs and integrations.
- Lead and mentor a cross-functional team comprising Product Managers, Designers, QA, and Engineers to deliver on the product vision.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams, ensuring clear problem articulation, solution feasibility, and efficient execution.
- Ensure regulatory compliance by actively participating in audits including SEBI, RBI, internal audits, and other statutory reviews.
- Maintain transparency and ensure no conflict of interest, considering indirect reporting lines with engineering teams.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify gaps, improvements, and innovation opportunities; translate insights into actionable roadmap items.
- Partner with Sales and Partnerships teams to understand customer needs, explore synergies, and drive customer-centric product decisions.
- Drive Go-To-Market (GTM) strategy for new product launches and major releases in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
- Own all aspects of the product lifecycle including product design, innovation, launch, branding, and continuous improvement.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- 8+ years of overall experience in Product Management, preferably within Capital Markets or Payments/UPI domains.
- 5+ years of experience in a Product Manager/People Manager role.
- Proven team management experience of at least 5 years, leading cross-functional teams.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements related to Capital Market products.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with a collaborative mindset.
