Financial Controller - Agri

Role Overview:

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the entire finance and accounting function, ensuring strong financial governance, compliance, and business support. The role requires deep experience in finance operations within agri commodities, procurement, or trading environments, along with the ability to support leadership with financial insights and controls.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee end-to-end finance and accounting operations including books of accounts, financial reporting, and audits

- Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, taxation, and financial governance standards

- Manage treasury operations, including cash flow planning, banking relationships, and working capital management

- Support procurement and trading teams with financial analysis, pricing insights, and margin monitoring

- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning & analysis (FP&A)

- Implement strong internal controls, risk management practices, and financial processes

- Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities

- Monitor business performance and provide strategic financial insights to senior leadership

- Strengthen financial reporting systems and improve operational efficiencies within the finance function

Candidate Profile:

- 18-30 years of experience in finance and accounting roles

- Strong exposure to agri commodities, agricultural trading, procurement, or commodity supply chains

- Proven experience managing finance functions in trading or commodity-driven businesses

- Strong understanding of financial controls, treasury, taxation, and regulatory compliance

- Ability to work closely with commercial and procurement teams in a dynamic trading environment

- Knowledge of any South Indian language preferred

- Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
