Job Description:
Role Overview:
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing the financial operations of the automobile dealership, including budgeting, financial reporting, cash flow management, compliance, and coordination with banks and OEM partners. The role ensures financial health, profitability, and regulatory compliance of the dealership.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Management:
1. Prepare and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
2. Manage cash flow, working capital, and banking transactions.
3. Track dealership profitability across vehicle sales, service, and spare parts departments.
4. Ensure timely vendor payments and receivables collection.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting:
1. Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts.
2. Monitor actual performance vs. budget and analyze variances.
3. Provide financial insights to support business decisions and profitability improvement.
3. Accounting & Compliance:
1. Ensure proper accounting as per accounting standards and company policies.
2. Manage GST filings, TDS compliance, and statutory returns.
3. Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities.
4. Ensure compliance with OEM financial reporting requirements.
4. Dealership Operations Support:
1. Work closely with sales, service, and parts departments to track financial performance.
2. Monitor vehicle inventory financing and stock reconciliation.
3. Oversee retail finance coordination with banks/NBFCs for customer vehicle loans.
4. Track dealer incentives, claims, and reimbursements from OEMs.
5. Internal Controls & Risk Management:
1. Implement and maintain internal financial controls and audit procedures.
2. Prevent financial discrepancies, fraud, and operational leakages.
3. Conduct periodic internal audits and stock audits.
6. Team Management:
1. Supervise the accounts and finance team.
2. Ensure accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, and documentation.
3. Train team members on financial policies and compliance.
