As the organization continues its growth trajectory, we are looking for a strategic and hands-on Finance Head to lead the financial governance, capital structuring, and business analytics initiatives across its manufacturing operations.
Position Overview
The Finance Head will be responsible for overseeing the companys financial strategy, planning, and operations, ensuring fiscal discipline while enabling business expansion.
The ideal candidate is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 1518 years of experience in manufacturing environments and a proven ability to manage fundraising, treasury operations, audits, and compliance frameworks.
This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and collaborates closely with the Board and Group CFO, providing financial leadership that supports business strategy and long-term organizational value creation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the companys financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Drive fundraising initiatives through banks, NBFCs, and financial institutions, including working capital, term loans, and structured financing.
- Oversee banking and treasury operations, managing liquidity, hedging, and optimizing capital structures.
- Partner with the leadership team to evaluate capital expenditure (CapEx) projects, perform detailed financial feasibility analyses, and drive ROI-based decision-making.
Financial Operations & Governance
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, consolidations, and management information systems (MIS).
- Lead and coordinate internal and statutory audits, ensuring full compliance with Indian accounting standards and corporate governance requirements.
- Manage costing systems, cost control frameworks, and variance analysis for manufacturing units.
- Oversee direct and indirect tax compliance, secretarial matters, and adherence to statutory and regulatory frameworks.
Systems, ERP & Analytics
- Lead ERP implementation and process automation initiatives, ensuring seamless financial integration across units.
- Drive data analytics and financial reporting dashboards to enhance business intelligence and decision-making.
- Implement outsourcing and shared service strategies to improve cost efficiency and scalability of finance operations.
Leadership & People Management
- Mentor and lead a multi-location finance team, ensuring capability building, process consistency, and adherence to timelines.
- Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, and sales teams for effective financial partnership.
Qualifications & Experience
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 1518 years of post-qualification experience.
- Proven experience in manufacturing or engineering industries with exposure to multi-plant or group structures.
- Expertise in fundraising, banking relationships, and treasury management.
- Strong knowledge of CapEx evaluation, costing, and financial modeling.
- Deep understanding of audit, compliance, taxation, and regulatory frameworks.
- Mandatory experience in ERP implementation (SAP/Oracle/Infor or equivalent).
- Hands-on exposure to data analytics, automation, and outsourcing finance processes.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
- Preferred age: around 40 years.
