Finance Head - D2C Apparel

A fast-growing, venture-backed D2C apparel brand (name withheld) scaling rapidly with a monthly ARR of - 6-7 Cr. The brand has grown from zero to a strong, profitable operation and is now building its core leadership team.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a strategic Finance Head to build, lead, and own the finance function end-to-end. This person will take over from the current external agency setup and work closely with the founders to drive financial discipline, improve cash flow visibility, and enable long-term planning for Series A/B-level scale.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and lead the in-house finance function from scratch

- Own cash flow management and ensure smooth working capital cycles

- Develop and maintain financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning models

- Oversee and strengthen accounting processes (supported by internal accountant)

- Partner with founders on fundraising, investor reporting, and board-level metrics

- Manage financial audits, compliance, taxation, and statutory requirements

- Implement financial controls, MIS reporting, and process automation

- Track unit economics, SKU-level profitability, and D2C-specific metrics

- Work closely with cross-functional teams (operations, supply chain, growth, merchandising) for financial decision-making

- Prepare the company for the next stage of scale (Series A/B + beyond)

Required Experience:

- 10-15+ years of total experience in finance

- Must come from a D2C brand, preferably in apparel/ fashion (e.g., Snitch, Bewakoof, similar)

- Strong exposure to high-growth environments, ideally Series A or Series B funded companies

- Experience managing agency/outsourced finance partners

- Proven track record in building finance processes from the ground up

- Deep knowledge of D2C metrics, e-commerce operations, inventory cycles, and marketplace dynamics

- Strong command of forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial modeling

- Comfortable working closely with founders in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
