Job Description:

We are looking for a highly experienced and detail-oriented professional to lead our Statutory and Taxation function. The ideal candidate must possess strong expertise in statutory audits, direct and indirect tax compliance, book-keeping, and regulatory matters, especially in a listed company environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Statutory Audit & Bookkeeping:

- Independently handle statutory audits end-to-end.

- Ensure accurate and timely closure of books of accounts.

- Strong control and oversight over book-keeping in line with statutory and listing requirements.

- Ensure monthly and quarterly financial closing, including finalization of Balance Sheet and related financial statements.

Compliance & Scrutiny:

- Handle all statutory compliances related to Direct and Indirect Taxes.

- Manage and respond to tax notices and assessments, including income tax and GST scrutinise independently.

- Ensure all regulatory filings and documentation are accurate and timely.

Transfer Pricing & Indexation:

- Sound knowledge of Transfer Pricing regulations, documentation, and reporting.

- Strong analytical understanding of Indexation and related calculations.

Audit Management:

- Lead and manage Cost Audits, Internal Audits, and Statutory Audits independently.

- Coordinate with auditors and consultants to ensure timely and accurate audit closures.

Special Projects:

- Involvement in mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring projects from a taxation and compliance perspective.

- Support due diligence processes as needed.

Key Skills and Competencies:

- In-depth knowledge of Indian taxation laws, Companies Act, and related regulations.

- Strong exposure to listed company compliance and reporting requirements.

- Expertise in Direct Tax, Indirect Tax (GST), Transfer Pricing, and Audit processes.

- Strong analytical and documentation skills.

- Ability to handle multiple audits and statutory filings independently.

- Effective communication and stakeholder management.
