The Finance Controller role at this GCC is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial control, accounting, and reporting for a significant business unit or function.
This role partners closely with business leaders, providing financial insights and guidance to drive strategic decision-making and ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and accounting standards.
The Finance Controller will lead a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Key Competencies required:
Qualifications in Accounting
- Professional qualification in Accounting (CA / CPA / ACCA or equivalent).
- Experience in Accounting, Controls and Finance
- Experience in financial accounting, reporting, internal controls, and compliance.
- Exposure to financial close processes, reconciliations, and governance frameworks within a global organization.
Partnering Skills:
- Ability to apply professional knowledge to make appropriate judgments and recommend solutions.
- Strong stakeholder management and partnership across Finance and Business teams.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to articulate financial insights clearly and concisely.
Leadership Skills:
- Team leadership and talent development.
- 3PSP engagement and accountability.
- Ability to challenge peers constructively and influence outcomes.
- Demonstrates proactiveness in driving improvements and addressing risks.
Business Acumen:
- Understanding of how a business of 15K+_GCC size operates within a global, matrix organization.
- Finance experience in a multinational environment with cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to align financial controls and reporting with broader business objectives.
