About the Client:
Our client is a leading, design-led home furnishings organization with a strong manufacturing backbone and a well-established presence across domestic and international markets. With revenues of ~- 1,100 Cr, the company operates an integrated business model spanning manufacturing and retail.
Role Overview:
This is a high-impact Finance Controller/Deputy CFO role positioned as L-1 to the CFO, offering a clear Deputy CFO progression path. The role provides end-to-end exposure across finance, with significant visibility to senior leadership.
The mandate is ideal for a finance leader who brings strong controllership fundamentals along with sharp business partnering capabilities in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Financial Control & Governance across the organization
- Drive MIS, business finance, and performance reporting
- Own Costing and Plant Finance (critical focus area)
- Anchor FP&A: budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning
- Oversee taxation, audits, and regulatory compliance
- Partner with business leaders to drive data-backed decision-making
- Support strategic initiatives alongside the CFO
Candidate Profile:
- 12 to 18 years of progressive finance experience
- Strong manufacturing experience (at least one significant stint)
- Preferred sectors: Textile, Home Furnishing, Consumer Manufacturing
Functional Skills:
- Deep expertise in costing, inventory, and plant finance
- Strong hands-on experience in FP&A and MIS
- Working knowledge of taxation and audits
Qualification:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) - mandatory
