Position: Finance Controller

Qualification: CA

Experience: 10 to 15 years

Purpose of the Role:

The Project Financial Controller is responsible for providing financial leadership and commercial control throughout the project lifecycle. The role ensures effective monitoring of project cost, revenue, cash flow, working capital, receivables, claims, escalation, equipment utilization costs, profitability, and financial risk management to achieve targeted project margins and cash generation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Cost Control & Profitability Management:

- Establish project cost control systems and budgets.

- Monitor actual costs against approved budget and forecast.

- Member of the Project procurement committee and provide the commercial impact on procurement.

- Analyze cost overruns and identify corrective actions.

- Review labor, material, subcontractor, equipment, and indirect costs.

- Prepare monthly Cost-to-Complete (CTC) and Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) reports.

- Track project profitability, gross margin, and contribution.

- Support project management team in achieving financial objectives.

- Implement cost optimization initiatives and productivity improvement measures.

2. Project Receivables & Collection Management:

- Monitor customer billing and collection status.

- Ensure timely certification and submission of invoices.

- Track overdue receivables and identify collection risks.

- Coordinate with project teams and customers for payment realization.

- Monitor retention money, milestone payments, and withheld amounts.

- Prepare collection forecasts and recovery plans.
