Role Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Financial Controller (Qualified CA) with extensive experience in the manufacturing industry, who can lead and manage the entire finance function for our operations in Central Africa.
This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, responsible for driving financial planning, ensuring compliance, strengthening internal controls, and supporting business growth through data-driven insights.
The role requires strong expertise in financial reporting, taxation, ERP systems, and stakeholder management, along with the ability to work in a dynamic international environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning & Strategy:
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions and expansion plans
- Monitor financial performance and identify cost optimization opportunities
2. Financial Reporting & Compliance:
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely balance sheet closures and reconciliations
- Maintain compliance with local regulations and international accounting standards
3. Taxation (Direct & Indirect):
- Manage all aspects of direct and indirect taxation
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws and statutory requirements
- Liaise with consultants/auditors for audits and tax filings
4. MIS & Business Insights:
- Prepare detailed MIS reports and dashboards for senior management
- Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights and recommendations
- Support leadership with profitability analysis and performance tracking
5. Internal Controls & Risk Management:
- Strengthen and monitor internal financial controls and processes
- Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies
- Ensure adherence to audit and governance standards
6. Financial & Commercial Operations:
- Oversee end-to-end financial and commercial operations
- Manage working capital, cash flow, and vendor payments
- Drive efficiency in procurement and cost management processes
7. Banking & External Stakeholder Management:
- Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, and auditors
- Handle funding, banking transactions, and financial negotiations
- Act as a key finance partner for business and external stakeholders
8. ERP & Systems Management:
- Work extensively on MS Dynamics ERP (mandatory)
- Ensure system accuracy, reporting efficiency, and process improvements
- Drive digital adoption and automation in finance processes
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
- 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing / food processing setup
Strong expertise in:
- Financial planning & analysis
- Accounting & reporting
- Taxation
- Internal controls & audits
- Hands-on experience with MS Dynamics ERP (mandatory)
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities

- Experience in international / remote location roles preferred
