Finance Controller - CA

Description:

Purpose of the Role:

- The Finance Controller will be responsible for leading the overall finance function, ensuring robust financial governance, statutory compliance, and strong business partnering support.

- The role requires deep expertise in accounting operations, AR/AP management, taxation, compliance, and ERP-driven financial controls.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Accounting & Reporting:

- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.

- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting as per applicable accounting standards.

- Maintain strong internal controls and financial governance.

- Lead statutory and internal audits.

Accounts Receivable (AR) & Accounts Payable (AP):

- Manage end-to-end AR and AP processes.

- Monitor receivables aging and drive collection efficiency.

- Ensure timely vendor payments and optimize payable cycles.

- Strengthen credit control mechanisms and cash flow visibility.

Compliance & Taxation:

- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and corporate requirements.

- Oversee direct and indirect taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax, etc.).

- Coordinate with tax advisors and auditors for assessments and filings.

- Ensure adherence to transfer pricing and other regulatory frameworks where applicable.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Business Partnering:

- Lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.

- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to leadership.

- Support commercial teams with pricing, margin analysis, and profitability improvement initiatives.

Working Capital & Cash Flow Management:

- Drive workng capital optimization.

- Monitor cash flow planning and treasury functions.

- Improve operational efficiency through financial controls.

ERP & Systems:

- Ensure effective utilization of Oracle ERP (mandatory expertise).

- Drive automation and process improvements within Oracle systems.

- Strengthen reporting dashboards and financial MIS through ERP tools.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor the finance team.

- Build strong SOP-driven processes and accountability frameworks.

- Foster a culture of compliance, accuracy, and efficiency.

Key Requirements:

- Qualified CA with 15-20 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.

- Mandatory experience working on Oracle ERP.

- Strong hands-on exposure to AR, AP, taxation, compliance, and financial reporting.

- Prior experience as Finance Controller / Senior Finance Manager preferred.

- Experience in electronics, consumer products, or trading/manufacturing industry preferred.
