FatakPay Digital Pvt. Ltd. is a fast-growing fintech company operating a digital financial wellness platform with a mission to deliver meaningful credit access and financial empowerment to underserved segments of India. We are a young, ambitious, and compliance-first organisation. The HR Head will be pivotal in building the people infrastructure that supports our next phase of scale.


Role Overview:


This is a full-time on-site role located in Mumbai for the Head of Human Resources. We are looking for a strategic and hands-on HR leader to serve as the Head of Human Resources at FatakPay. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across the full HR lifecycle from talent acquisition and learning & development to payroll management, HRMS implementation, and people compliance. This is a leadership role with significant scope to build and institutionalize HR systems from the ground up, working closely with the business leadership.


Key Responsibilities:


HR Strategy & Leadership:


- Design and execute the organisation-wide HR strategy aligned to FatakPay's growth objectives and regulatory context.


- Serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on all people matters.


- Build and lead a high-performing HR team as the organisation scales.


- Drive a performance-driven, inclusive, and compliance-first culture across all functions.


Systems & Process Implementation:


- Lead end-to-end implementation and management of HRMS platforms.


- Design and document HR SOPs across the full employee lifecycle onboarding to exit and

ensure consistent adoption.


- Build HR dashboards and MIS for leadership reporting on headcount, attrition, productivity, and compliance.


- Drive process standardisation and automation across payroll, leave management, attendance, and performance cycles.


Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:


- Own the end-to-end recruitment function, including sourcing strategy, employer branding, and offer management.


- Build structured interview and evaluation frameworks; reduce time-to-hire and improve quality of hire.


- Develop and maintain a strong talent pipeline for critical and recurring roles.


- Partner with department heads on manpower planning aligned to business roadmaps.


Learning & Development:


- Design and institutionalise a robust L&D framework onboarding programs, functional training, leadership development, and compliance training.


- Identify skill gaps across the organisation and build targeted interventions.


- Track and report on training effectiveness, completion rates, and return on investment.


- Curate internal knowledge management systems and learning resources.


Payroll & Compensation Management:


- Oversee error-free, timely payroll processing for all full-time, contractual, and gig employees.


- Ensure statutory compliance PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, gratuity, bonus in alignment with applicable labour laws and RBI/NBFC regulatory norms.


- Design and periodically benchmark compensation structures (CTC bands, variable pay, benefits) against industry standards.


- Manage full and final settlement processes with accuracy and regulatory compliance.


Performance Management & Employee Engagement:


- Lead the annual and mid-year performance review cycle goal-setting, ratings calibration, and feedback culture.


- Design and administer employee engagement surveys; translate outputs into actionable initiatives.


- Build mechanisms for employee recognition, retention, and internal mobility.


- Drive culture-building initiatives, team townhalls, and cross-functional collaboration programs.


HR Compliance & Labour Law:


- Ensure full compliance with applicable labour laws such as Shops & Establishments, POSH Act, Maternity Benefits Act, Contract Labour Act, and others.


- Maintain and update employee policies and the HR policy handbook in line with evolving regulations.


- Lead POSH committee administration, grievance redressal mechanisms, and disciplinary

processes.


- Liaise with legal counsel and compliance teams on employee-related regulatory matters.


Eligibility / Qualification:


- MBA / PGDM in Human Resources from a reputed institution.


- Minimum 8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a senior / leadership role managing large teams (100+ employees).


- Demonstrated experience in HRMS implementation and system rollout.


- Hands-on expertise in payroll management, statutory compliance, and labour law.


- Strong track record in building L&D frameworks and talent acquisition functions.


- Exposure to a fast-paced, high-growth start-up or scale-up environment is a plus.


Core competencies:


- Strategic mindset, people first approach, data driven decision making, stakeholder management, problem solving ability.


- Proficiency in Human Resources (HR) and HR Management.


- Strong knowledge of Labor and Employment Law and expertise in drafting and enforcing HR Policies.


- Exceptional skills in Employee Relations and managing workplace dynamics.


Experience Required:


Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.


Industry Preference: (Fintech / NBFC / Banking / Financial Services).
