Hiring Factory Head for an Electrical Switchgear and Automation Solutions Manufacturer

About the Role:

Factory Head to lead all manufacturing operations with a Switchgear Manufacturing Company, specializing in Medium Voltage (MV) and Low Voltage (LV) switchgear. The ideal candidate will oversee end-to-end activities across Design, Purchase, Production, Quality & ISO, Logistics, Service, Accounting, and MIS departments. This role demands proven leadership in driving operational excellence, cost optimization, and growth in a high-volume electrical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide strategic leadership for the entire factory, ensuring seamless integration of all departments to meet production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines for MV/ LV switchgear.

- Drive design innovation and R&D for switchgear products, collaborating with engineering teams to align with market needs and regulatory standards (e.g., IEC, IS)

- Manage procurement and supply chain for raw materials, vendor negotiations, and inventory control to minimize costs and ensure uninterrupted production

- Oversee production planning, execution, and efficiency improvements using lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies to achieve OEE >85

- Ensure robust quality control, ISO 9001/14001 compliance, and continuous process audits to deliver defect-free products.

- Handle logistics, dispatch, and after-sales service operations, optimizing for on-time delivery (>95%) and customer satisfaction.

- Lead accounting, budgeting, cost management, and MIS reporting, including KPI dashboards for P&L, inventory turns, and operational metrics

- Build and mentor high-performing teams, foster a safety-first culture, and implement talent development programs

- Liaise with senior management on business strategy, CAPEX investments, and expansion initiatives.

Ideal Candidate Profile (with Experience & Qualifications):

- Proven track record in managing multi-departmental operations (500+ workforce preferred) with annual turnover >- 300 Cr.

- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills

- Proficiency in MS Office, MIS tools, and data analytics for decision-making.

- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

- Experience: upto 25 years, with 10+ years of heading a similar manufacturing unit, 5+ years of MV/ LV Switchgear or Electrical Manufacturing in an MNC

- Qualifications: BE/ M Tech/ Electrical/ Mechanical (a must) with MBA preferred
