Executive Vice President/Vice President - National Technical & Valuation Manager - NBFC/Bank

Role Overview:

We are looking for a senior technical leader to head the National Technical & Valuation function for secured lending products, primarily Home Loans and Loan Against Property (LAP). This role will be responsible for property valuation governance, technical due diligence, risk mitigation, and vendor management across locations, working closely with Legal, Credit, and Business teams to enable sound lending decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the end-to-end technical due diligence and valuation framework for mortgage and LAP portfolios

- Oversee property valuation, site inspections, and technical risk assessment prior to loan disbursement

- Act as a key risk advisory partner to Credit and Legal teams for lending decisions

- Ensure accuracy and consistency in valuation reports, APF, LIE, and project valuation reports

- Collaborate with Legal teams to validate property documents, deviations, and due diligence findings

- Define and implement valuation policies, SOPs, TATs, and quality benchmarks across locations

- Manage and govern external valuation vendors and technical consultants

- Identify and mitigate technical risks, fraud indicators, and valuation discrepancies

- Lead, mentor, and audit regional technical teams; conduct spot checks and audits

- Present technical risk insights and escalations to senior management

- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements

Candidate Profile

- 10-15+ years of experience in technical evaluation, property valuation, or secured lending risk

- Strong exposure to mortgages and LAP within NBFCs, HFCs, or Banks

- Proven experience working closely with Legal and Credit teams

- Deep understanding of property valuation methodologies, site inspection, and documentation

- Experience managing pan-India vendors and teams

- Strong stakeholder management and decision-making skills

- Ability to balance risk control with business enablement
