Objective :

Looking for a person who can manage the core and distribution network and manage network operational issues by strategizing the adaptive and process oriented methods. Ensure smooth network functioning and field operations.

Responsibilities :

- Expand the Core and Distribution Network in a cost effective manner Pan-India to meet the expansion requirements of the company.

- Work with Budgets and Capex Planning for all network Infra deployments.

- Establish and manage communication channels with Vendors and Partners regarding new deployments and issue resolution of fiber links.

- Responsible for contracting and finding new Data Centers/Points of Presence and negotiating space, power costs and lead the deployment of equipment.

- Responsible for periodically organizing and driving the evaluation of the network topology and plan for future improvements.

- Executing deep inspection of network budgeting and billing resulting in cost savings and price negotiations with vendors.

- Strategize the ways of improving the bad quality networks with high fault rates at reasonable cost.

- Deal and find solution for network operational issues beyond the control of field resources by in-depth analysis and/or engaging with peer team (Technology).

- Engage with Business team and partners on ground to understand the challenges with customer services and deployed networks and close the gaps either working with own team or cross functional verticals.

- Manage a team of Circle Head, Zonal Managers and field engineers and in-house fiber roll-out team.

- Providing direction and motivation to the team for ensuring optimum performance for all operational and technical related issues; training subordinates to develop requisite skills; conducting training on new technologies related to Fiber/Network Infra.

- Provide weekly order status reports for all work in progress.

- Should have good exposure of Network/IT Infra Management and process oriented workflow through best IT/Network practices.

- Should have good knowledge of network cabling, fiber optic types, and test equipments.

- Good experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.

Preferable Knowledge :

- Should have good knowledge of routing, switching and transport technologies (SpanningTree, MPLS, VLAN, DWDM).

- Knowledge of data center technology (Cabling, Power, Cooling, Racks, Redundant power supply).

- Previous experience of dealing with multiple vendors of fiber links.

Educational Qualification and Experience :

- Preferred Industry : ISP, Telecom, Data Centres and Network Infrastructures.

- Educational Background : B.Tech/MCA/BCA/MSC-IT.

- Additional Qualification : PMP/ITIL/CCNA.

- Experience : 15 to 20 years.
