
Manager / Senior Manager EHS (Environment, Health & Safety)

Role & responsibilities
Statutory Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure timely statutory submissions, renewals, and reporting (environmental statements, hazardous waste returns, and pollution control board consents) as per applicable regulations.
EHS Management System Implementation:
Implement and continuously improve the Environment, Health & Safety Management System (EHSMS) across all departments, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
Safety Inspections, Audits & Risk Assessments:
- Conduct periodic safety inspections, internal audits, and hazard studies (HIRA, HAZOP, QRA) to identify potential risks and ensure preventive actions are in place.
Incident Management & Corrective Actions:
- Investigate incidents and accidents, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and monitor effectiveness.
Training & Awareness:
- Identify training needs, develop annual EHS training plans, and organize safety induction, fire drills, and awareness programs to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Waste & Environmental Management:
- Oversee efficient operations of STP, ETP, MEE, and RO systems, ensure compliance with environmental norms, and drive waste minimization initiatives.
Emergency Preparedness & Liaison:
- Lead the implementation of site emergency response programs, conduct mock/fire drills, and liaise with government and local authorities for statutory and compliance matters.
Preferred candidate profile:
- 13-18 years of experience in EHS, preferably in the pharmaceutical or chemical manufacturing sector.
- In-depth understanding of environmental, health, and safety laws and regulations.
- Strong experience in audits, risk assessments, and waste management systems.
- Excellent leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
- Hands-on experience with ISO 14001 / ISO 45001 standards preferred.
