DTC Projects - Manager - Quality Assurance/Quality Control

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager to lead and manage all quality assurance and quality control activities at our project site in Rajarhat.

The role is responsible for establishing, implementing, and monitoring quality systems across the entire construction lifecycle to ensure compliance with company standards, statutory requirements, and industry best practices.

The incumbent will work closely with the Project Manager, contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure that materials, workmanship, and processes consistently meet defined quality benchmarks while minimising rework and rejection.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Management Plans and QA/QC procedures at project sites.

- Oversee end-to-end quality activities throughout the construction cycle.

- Define inspection and testing standards for materials, workmanship, and construction processes.

- Prepare, implement, and maintain the QA/QC Plan and Quality Manual, including quality budgeting and training plans.

- Conduct regular quality audits, inspections, and compliance checks to ensure adherence to company standards and statutory norms.

- Review and evaluate quality performance of contractors, vendors, and suppliers, including inspection and test reports.

- Identify quality deviations, non-conformances, and discrepancies; ensure timely reporting and corrective action.

- Carry out root cause analysis for quality failures and implement preventive measures.

- Minimise material rejection, rework, and wastage through effective quality control systems.

- Recommend process and system improvements to enhance overall quality performance.

- Conduct regular quality awareness and technical training sessions for site teams and contractors.

- Maintain complete and accurate QA/QC documentation and records for audits and reviews.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

- Minimum 8 to 15 years of post-qualification experience in QA/QC within construction projects.

- Prior experience in handling QA/QC activities for large-scale civil or infrastructure projects.

Skills & Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of QA/QC systems, inspection methodologies, and construction standards.

- Sound understanding of statutory regulations, codes, and industry best practices.

- Ability to analyse quality issues and drive corrective and preventive actions.

- Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills.

- Experience working with ERP systems will be an added advantage.

- Leadership capability to guide site teams and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
