Job Description:
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
1. Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Build and manage rolling forecasts using statistical tools and market intelligence.
- Improve forecast accuracy (MAPE, Bias) through close coordination with sales and marketing teams.
- Incorporate promotions, seasonality, and new product launches into demand plans.
2. Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
- Lead the monthly S&OP cycle ensuring alignment between demand, supply, and financial objectives.
- Drive consensus across sales, operations, supply chain, and finance functions.
- Conduct scenario planning and what-if analyses to support business decisions.
3. Material Requirements Planning (MRP)
- Develop and manage accurate MRP runs aligned with demand and production requirements.
- Ensure timely procurement of raw and packaging materials to prevent shortages and excess inventory.
- Collaborate with procurement to align supplier deliveries with production schedules.
4. Scheduling & Capacity Planning
- Create detailed production schedules based on demand, available capacity, and resource constraints.
- Conduct capacity mapping to identify bottlenecks and optimize utilization of lines, labor, and assets.
- Collaborate with operations teams to balance throughput and delivery commitments.
5. Inventory & Warehouse Management Integration
- Define safety stock levels, reorder points, and replenishment policies.
- Monitor inventory health and align warehouse operations through WMS.
- Balance working capital optimization with customer service objectives.
6. Data Analytics & Reporting
- Use analytics to track forecast accuracy, inventory performance, capacity utilization, and service levels.
- Build dashboards and MIS for leadership visibility and decision-making.
- Apply predictive analytics to anticipate risks such as stock-outs or excess inventory.
7. Continuous Improvement & Digital Transformation
- Drive best practices to reduce lead times, improve accuracy, and enhance planning maturity.
- Champion adoption of advanced analytics, ERP/APS systems, and digital tools (WMS, Blue Yonder, Legality, TMS, APS etc)
- Train and develop cross-functional teams to strengthen planning capability.
