Founded in April 2015 under the Companies Act, 2013, Maatrum is India's first Online Real Estate Title Verification company. We leverage advanced legal technology to simplify and standardize title verification, enabling our network of experienced real estate lawyers to source documents directly from government databases and deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality legal reports.

Role Overview:

Position: Head of Legal - AP & Telangana

Location: Hyderabad (Punjagutta)

Engagement: Full-time Consultant

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Law (LLB/LLM); LLM from a reputed public university is an added advantage

- Minimum 10+ years of relevant legal experience

- Strong exposure to land and real estate property portfolios

- Preferred background from Banking / NBFCs

- Mandatory experience in managing and leading legal teams

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Delivery & Client Management:

- Draft and review comprehensive Title Opinions using Maatrum's in-house legal technology platform

- Coordinate with clients across AP & Telangana to ensure alignment with credit policies, SLAs, and quality benchmarks

- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of legal reports

Team Leadership & People Management:

- Lead and mentor a team of 20+ full-time lawyers handling title verification across AP & TG

- Monitor productivity, performance, and quality metrics

- Conduct regular reviews, allocate workloads, and manage peak volumes

- Drive continuous learning, handle escalations, and support complex legal matters

Operations & Process Excellence:

- Work closely with Operations and Technology teams to optimize workflows and improve turnaround time

- Identify process gaps and implement quality and efficiency improvements

- Ensure adherence to client credit policies and internal quality standards

- Support expansion and stabilization of legal operations across AP & TG
