Dr Lal PathLabs - GM - Logistics SCOPE OF WORK: The Head of Logistics will oversee and manage logistics operations across Pan-India and international locations, including first-mile, last-mile, and inter-lab transportation, ensuring timely and efficient sample movement across all locations. The role is pivotal in driving automation, operational & process excellence, ensuring cost-effective solutions, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction through efficient logistics management. HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO: Strategic Logistics Planning & Execution: - Develop long-term logistics strategies aligned with overall business objectives to optimize operations. - Oversee end-to-end logistics including first-mile client pick-ups, inter-lab transfers, and last-mile deliveries, ensuring adherence to defined TAT. - Ensure cost-effectiveness by implementing productivity enhancement strategies to optimize routes, manpower, and operations Operational Excellence: - Drive continuous improvement through technology adoption, automation, and process optimization. - Ensure operational success, monitor and analyze key KPIs, including on-time pick-up rates, TAT compliance, and product movement. - Ensure cross-functional integration with sales, lab, and customer service teams to enhance business outcomes. Vendor & Partner Management: - Lead negotiations with vendors, securing favorable quality, cost, and operational sustainability terms. - Conduct vendor evaluations & identification to drive performance and align with company goals. Team Leadership & Development: - Lead and mentor a large team of regional logistics managers, aligning their efforts with organizational goals. - Develop the team to implement new technologies and projects for effective adoption by the vendors and end users. Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all logistics regulations, audits, and quality standards WHAT ARE WE LOOKING IN YOU: Experience: 10-15 Years Qualification: MBA /PGDBM in Ops/ B.Tech /Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management from premier B-schools Prior Experience/Background: Healthcare Sector/E-commerce/Retail/ Logistics and Supply Chain Services COMPETENCIES: - Strategic planning and execution - Data-Driven Decision Making - Problem-solving and critical thinking - Leading and Managing teams - Collaborative and Influencing KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: - Strong knowledge of logistics operations, compliance, and regulatory requirements. - Proven track record of handling complex, multi-region logistics operations. - Prior experience in managing vendor relations, logistics automation, and technology adoption
