Our customer is a cloud-focused consulting company that helps global brands solve business challenges using AI, data, and cloud-native technology.

As the Director of Software Engineering, you will lead the design, development, and modernisation of applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

You will partner with clients and internal teams to deliver high-quality, scalable cloud applications on GCP, combining strong technical expertise with effective engineering leadership.

What you'll do:.

- Define and lead the software engineering strategy, vision, and roadmap aligned with business and client goals.

- Provide technical leadership across architecture, development standards, security, and cloud best practices.

- Oversee end-to-end delivery of cloud-native applications across the full software development lifecycle.

- Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to shape requirements, scope, and delivery outcomes.

- Mentor, coach, and grow high-performing engineering teams while driving continuous improvement.

What you need:.

- 15+ years of overall experience, 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in engineering leadership roles, in IT Services/Consulting organisations.

- Strong expertise in cloud-native architecture and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.

- Proficiency in Java (preferred), Python, or Node.js, along with modern frameworks and DevOps practices.

- Proven experience leading and managing distributed or remote engineering teams.

- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
