Role Overview:

The Director of Medical Coding Operations serves as the strategic leader responsible for the end-to-end delivery of coding services across multiple sites. This role involves overseeing large-scale delivery teams, ensuring adherence to stringent quality and turnaround time metrics, and fostering strong relationships with global stakeholders. You will act as the primary architect for operational excellence, driving process improvements, scaling delivery capabilities, and ensuring that the organization meets its financial and clinical accuracy targets while navigating the evolving landscape of healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor large, multi-site delivery teams to ensure high-quality output in medical coding and revenue cycle management services.

- Define and implement operational strategies that optimize productivity, reduce error rates, and enhance the overall service delivery model for global clients.

- Manage complex client relationships by providing transparent reporting, addressing performance concerns, and aligning delivery outcomes with client-specific business goals.

- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives by leveraging data analytics and industry best practices to streamline workflows and reduce operational costs.

- Oversee workforce planning, resource allocation, and talent development to ensure the organization maintains a high-performing culture capable of handling complex coding requirements.

- Ensure strict compliance with HIPAA, ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding standards to mitigate risk and maintain the integrity of client financial data.

Required Skillset:

- Demonstrated expertise in managing large-scale healthcare operations with 16 - 25 years of experience in the medical coding and RCM domain.

- Proven ability to lead diverse, geographically dispersed teams with a focus on performance management, professional development, and operational scaling.

- Strong analytical capabilities to interpret operational metrics, identify bottlenecks, and execute data-driven solutions to improve service delivery.

- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership and build trust with international clients.

- Deep understanding of global healthcare billing regulations, compliance frameworks, and the ability to adapt operations to changing industry standards.

- A strategic mindset combined with a hands-on approach to problem-solving, capable of navigating the complexities of a hybrid work environment in Chennai or Bangalore.

- Educational background in Healthcare Administration, Business Management, or a related field, complemented by relevant professional certifications in medical coding.
