Position Overview
The Director of IT, Global Supply and Vendor Management Systems, will oversee the technology leadership for a key global, multi-brand, and multi-regional supply and vendor management platform. This position will lead the strategy, governance, and execution of enterprise-wide supply and vendor management systems supporting our global operations. Based in Bengaluru, India, this senior leadership role reports directly to the VP, IT Planning and Supply, located in New York City office.
This position will oversee a global team with 3 direct reports in Hong Kong and 3 direct reports in New Jersey, USA, and partner closely with business stakeholders across Asia, Europe, and North America.
The successful candidate will bring deep Infor Nexus expertise, a strong technical understanding of platform architecture and integrations, and experience managing third-party vendors and technology partners. This leader will drive the delivery and evolution of the global supply systems, ensuring operational excellence, scalability, and business alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Vision:
- Define and execute the global IT strategy for supply and vendor management systems in alignment with its business goals.
- Serve as a key contributor to global IT leadership, helping shape future-state supply chain capabilities through technology innovation.
- Develop a multi-year systems roadmap that incorporates its strategic priorities, platform upgrades, and integration initiatives.
Team & Organizational Management:
- Lead and develop a high-performing, geographically distributed team across India, Hong Kong, and New Jersey, promoting collaboration, continuous learning, and ownership.
- Ensure alignment of team efforts with global project and support priorities, maintaining consistency in delivery standards.
Platform Ownership & Technical Oversight:
- Serve as the technical and functional owner of Infor Nexus, overseeing system performance, configuration, integrations, and enhancements.
- Provide architectural oversight to ensure scalable, flexible, and well-integrated solutions across regions and partners.
- Manage lifecycle planning for system components including upgrades, patches, and roadmap alignment.
Vendor & Third-Party Management:
- Act as the primary IT liaison with Infor and external solution providers, overseeing implementation, support, and service delivery.
- Evaluate and manage third-party solutions, ensuring technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and alignment with its standards.
- Lead vendor governance processes including SLAs, KPIs, and ongoing performance reviews.
Program Delivery & Operations:
- Lead the execution of global supply system projects, managing cross-functional teams through the full delivery lifecycle from requirements to hypercare.
- Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, quality standards, and change management best practices.
- Own the global support model for supply systems, ensuring effective issue resolution and continuous service improvement.
Business Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate with sourcing, logistics, and supply teams in Asia, Europe, and the US to gather business needs and translate them into scalable IT solutions.
- Drive business process alignment and promote standardization and adoption of core platforms globally.
- Communicate project status, risks, and strategic direction to executive leadership and business stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of IT experience in supply chain technology, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role overseeing complex, global supply chain systems.
- Deep expertise in Infor Nexus is required, including platform administration, integration architecture, and deployment best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead international, cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively across time zones, regions, and business units.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain execution processes, including vendor collaboration, logistics operations, and EDI standards.
- Proven experience in managing and partnering with third-party vendors and system integrators to deliver enterprise-scale solutions.
- Solid technical foundation, with a strong understanding of system integration patterns, middleware, APIs, and data architecture.
- Exceptional leadership and project management skills, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, global technology initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving and risk management skills, with a proactive mindset for identifying challenges and driving resolution.
- Experience in managing OPEX and CAPEX budgets within a technology or enterprise systems environment.
- Outstanding communication, influence, and stakeholder engagement abilities, particularly in a complex, matrixed global organization.
- A strong collaborator and mentor, capable of building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of success and continuous improvement.
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required; MBA is preferred.
