Roles and Responsibilities as a Core Operations India Lead (Investment Banking Operations) - This is a chance to join us in a leading role, where you'll manage a team handling business and operations. - Youll be engaging and aligning with other business units and support functions to meet the banks objectives, allowing you to also expand your network and exposure - Hone your data collection and analytical skills, in this fast-paced and critical role What you'll do : - Youll be leading a team to make sure that the banking operation tasks, ranging from customer deposits to export and import transactions, are undertaken to agreed processes, timescales and in line with the risk framework. We- ll look to you to provide insight both internally to the department and externally across other functions to support and challenge business decisions and strategy. You- ll also be: - Identifying the demand for technology and delivery of process improvements for the department, relevant to settlement, clearing, confirmation and asset servicing - Delivering substantial cost efficiency, meeting agreed resource and financial targets through standardization and, if appropriate, centralization of processes - Creating adequate back-ups for all desks and making sure that the teams have relevant and up to date training - Providing supervisory guidance to the team from a risk and regulatory perspective The skills you'll need : - We- re looking for someone with good data collection and analysis skills. You- ll ideally have a post graduate degree, with relevant work experience. What's crucial, is your ability to lead and guide others to develop new skills or knowledge that will enhance their work. We'll also expect you to have: - The ability to collect data and to assess the accuracy, validity and integrity of the data - The knowledge and ability to keep up to date with changes in the banking environment - Excellent prioritization skills, with the ability to meet deadlines - Deep understanding of the Investment Banking Operations and products such as bonds, FX, securities and derivatives - Proactive and ability to work under immense pressure - Fluent communication, Influencing and negotiation skills
