A global edtech player is looking for a dynamic and seasoned Human Resources Leader to join as Director - HR for a new fast paced business vertical. This is a strategic and hands-on role, blending core HR responsibilities with a robust Admin & Logistics portfolio, vital for supporting a globally dispersed academic and operational ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities include and are not limited to"
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Lead end-to-end recruitment of academic (full-time and adjunct faculty) and functional staff.
- Partner with academic leadership to forecast talent needs and build strategic hiring pipelines.
- Own and optimize the TA strategy to ensure hiring quality, time efficiency, and a world-class candidate experience.
2. HR Business Partnering
- Act as the primary HR advisor for academic and operations teams
- Implement HR programs in performance management, learning & development, and succession planning.
- Consult on organizational design, culture building, and engagement strategy.
3. HR Operations, Compliance & Payroll
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, especially for remote/global faculty employment.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and payroll teams for seamless and timely payroll execution.
- Maintain a centralized repository of contracts, documentation, and HR policies.
4. Onboarding & Employee Experience
- Curate customized onboarding experiences suited to academic environments.
- Champion a culture of inclusivity, learning, and global collaboration.
5. Admin & Logistics Management
- Oversee student and faculty housing operations, ensuring comfort, safety, and service standards.
- Coordinate vendor relationships, including facility management, housing, travel, and support services.
- Manage travel and transport arrangements for students, faculty, and guests across multiple university campus locations.
- Partner with campus operations teams to align HR, housing, and logistical needs smoothly.
6. HR Data, Reporting & Insights
- Leverage data analytics to monitor hiring, attrition, compliance, and engagement.
- Present HR metrics and actionable insights to leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven exposure to educational, research, or global academic environments is a plus. Experience with a fast paced startup is also welcome.
- Strong experience in admin/logistics coordination, vendor management, and multi-site operations.
- Excellent communication, program management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Self-driven, agile, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced startup-like environment.
