Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Director - Finance to lead the finance function for a global IT Services / Consulting organization with India-US operations. This role partners closely with the CEO, CXOs, and senior leadership team, acting as a trusted advisor on financial strategy, planning, and decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings deep experience in financial planning & analytics, controllership, compliance, and governance, with hands-on exposure to India & US GAAP, statutory regulations, and service-industry financial models (utilization, margins, revenue recognition). Experience working in an offshore-onshore delivery model is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Leadership & Strategy:

- Act as a strategic finance partner to the CEO, CXOs, and senior leadership team

- Drive financial strategy aligned to business objectives across India and US operations

- Provide insights on margin optimization, cost efficiency, and profitability improvement

- Support leadership in resource allocation, investment decisions, and growth initiatives

- Own vertical / project-level P&L and support incentive and performance structures

Financial Planning, Analysis & Performance Management:

- Lead annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning

- Drive strong financial analytics, variance analysis, and performance tracking

- Build and present MIS, dashboards, and financial models for leadership review

- Support business decision-making through data-driven insights

Finance Operations, Compliance & Governance:

- Oversee end-to-end finance operations including accounting, controllership, and reporting

- Ensure compliance with India & US GAAP, statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements

- Manage audits, internal controls, and risk management frameworks

- Ensure robust financial governance across entities and geographies

Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

- Own cash flow planning, working capital management, and liquidity optimization

- Manage treasury operations including banking relationships, forex exposure, and hedging

Stakeholder & Leadership Engagement

- Work closely with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams

- Present financial insights, risks, and opportunities to executive leadership and Board

- Act as a trusted financial advisor across sales, delivery, and operations

Team Leadership & Capability Building:

- Build, mentor, and lead high-performing finance teams across geographies

- Drive process improvements, automation, and adoption of best practices

- Foster a proactive, agile, and solution-oriented finance culture

Key Requirements:

- 15+ years of progressive finance experience in IT Services / Consulting / Professional Services

- Strong experience working with India & US GAAP, statutory compliance, and regulations

- Proven track record in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytics

- Deep understanding of services industry financial models (revenue recognition, utilization, margins)

- Experience partnering with senior leadership, CXOs, and Boards

- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills

- Strong PowerPoint skills for executive and Board presentations

- Self-starter mindset with high ownership and attention to detail
