Director Finance Controller
We are looking for a Director Finance Controller to lead the organization's finance controllership function for a high-growth, manufacturing-led business. This is a Director-level leadership position reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and will play a critical role in driving financial governance, strengthening internal controls, ensuring statutory compliance, optimizing working capital, and building scalable finance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Controllership & Operations:
- Lead the end-to-end finance operations including Order-to-Cash (O2C), Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Record-to-Report (R2R), Treasury, and Taxation.
Financial Governance & Internal Controls:
- Ensure timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing.
- Maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial statements and books of accounts.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards, statutory regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
Governance, Risk & Compliance:
- Lead statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and financial due diligence exercises.
- Design and strengthen internal control frameworks and governance mechanisms.
- Drive finance process transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Treasury & Working Capital Management:
- Drive efficient invoicing, collections, and receivables management.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and fund utilization.
- Optimize working capital through effective management of receivables, payables, and inventory.
- Build and manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
Strategic Business Partnering:
- Partner closely with the CFO and leadership team to drive profitability and business growth.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support investment decisions, business expansion, cost optimization, and operational excellence.
- Lead financial analysis, business reviews, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Support fundraising, due diligence, and strategic finance projects as required.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a finance organization comprising 30+ professionals.
- Build a high-performance culture through coaching, succession planning, and capability development.
- Drive ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement across the finance function.
Candidate Profile:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) is mandatory.
- 14+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Controllership, and Financial Operations.
- Proven experience in manufacturing, automotive, industrial, engineering, or other asset-intensive businesses is preferred.
- Prior experience in a high-growth or startup environment will be an advantage.
- Demonstrated success in leading large finance teams (20+ members).
- Strong technical expertise in accounting, taxation, treasury, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Experience working with ERP-driven finance environments and process automation initiatives.
