Director - Finance Controller Head

The role focuses heavily on process governance, compliance, and transformation - driving automation, standardization, and efficiency improvements using tools like SAP, Blackline, RPA, and AI/ML. You'll partner closely with global and regional finance leaders, ensuring consistent reporting and strong internal controls (SOX).

We're looking for a CA or CPA with 18-25 years of experience, including at least 5 years in a global controllership or finance operations leadership role, ideally in a shared services or CoE setup.

Experience in the media & entertainment industry is a plus. Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and change management skills are essential.

In short - it's a strategic leadership role blending controllership expertise with transformation and team leadership, with high exposure to senior management.

1. Education & Certification

- Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA, or equivalent

2. Experience

- 18-25 years of progressive finance experience

- Minimum 5 years in global controllership or finance operations leadership

- Prior experience in Shared Services / GCC / CoE environment

- Exposure to Media & Entertainment industry (preferred)

3. Technical Expertise

- Strong knowledge of IFRS & US GAAP

- SOX compliance & internal audit frameworks

- ERP systems (SAP - mandatory)

- Financial close tools (e.g., Blackline)

- BI/reporting platforms

- Revenue recognition (IFRS 15 & 16) and technical accounting

4. Leadership & Management

- Led large teams (100+ people, with 5+ direct reports)

- Talent development & succession planning experience

- C-suite stakeholder management

- Strong change management skills in a matrix organization

5. Transformation & Process Improvement

- Finance transformation - standardization & automation

- Lean Six Sigma / process optimization

- RPA, AI/ML, or other automation tools

- Global process improvement across geographies
