Director - Finance Controller - CA

About the Role :

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director Finance - Controller to lead the Controllership, Accounting, Compliance, Audit, Treasury, Finance Tech & Automation functions. A key mandate will be spearheading our Finance Tech & Automation initiatives to build scalable, efficient systems that support rapid growth. Furthermore, you will lead our efforts to establish robust internal controls, rigorous reporting standards, and uncompromising compliance protocols, in our journey to IPO.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Chartered Accountant (CA) - 1st Attempt

2. 10-15 years of progressive experience in business and corporate finance, with at least one startup stint.

3. Drive and motivation to think and act like founders.

4. Proven experience presenting plans and managing expectations of investors, board of directors.

5. Minimum 5 years in Retail, FMCG, Ecommerce, or Fintech.

6. Direct experience in leading teams in Indian taxation (direct and indirect), Ind AS, Indian GAAP, IFRS.

7. Demonstrated track record of scaling finance teams and leading high-growth businesses.

8. Experience in logistics or managing finance for supply chain-driven businesses.

9. Exposure to PE/VC fundraising and FDI structuring.

10. Experience preparing companies for IPO or handling public market reporting.

11. Familiarity with accounting software development, finance tech stacks, and ERP systems.

12. High ownership mindset and hands-on leadership.

13. Passion for building systems and people from the ground up.

14. Strong communication, leadership presence, and a bias for action.

15. Strategic thinker with deep tactical command.

Logistics:

1. Location: Bengaluru

2. Travel: Pan India, at least 3-4 days in a month.

3. In-office, 5 days a week, and every alternate Saturdays, 4h - 6h or as required.
