We are looking for a highly accomplished Director of Engineering to lead the development and delivery of next-generation security and identity products serving enterprise customers globally. This role requires a strong blend of technical depth, product engineering expertise, organizational leadership, and business acumen.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building and scaling enterprise software products, leading multiple engineering teams through managers, and driving innovation across cloud-native, security-focused platforms. The individual should possess deep expertise in application security, identity management, cryptography, and cloud technologies while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and customer-centric innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Leadership:

- Define and execute the engineering vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with product and business objectives.

- Lead multiple engineering teams through engineering managers and senior technical leaders.

- Build, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering organizations across product development, platform engineering, and security engineering functions.

- Drive organizational effectiveness, engineering productivity, and operational excellence.

- Establish strong engineering processes, architecture governance, and quality standards.

Product Development & Delivery:

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of highly scalable, secure, and reliable enterprise software products.

- Partner closely with Product Management, Architecture, Security, and Executive Leadership teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Drive end-to-end product development lifecycle from ideation through release and support.

- Ensure predictable execution, technical excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Security & Architecture Leadership:

- Provide technical leadership for security-centric products and platforms.

Drive architecture decisions around:

- Identity and Access Management (IAM)

- Authentication & Authorization

- Single Sign-On (SSO)

- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

- API Security

- Zero Trust Architecture

- Cloud Security

- Data Protection & Privacy

- Champion Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) practices across engineering teams.

- Ensure compliance with industry security standards and regulatory requirements.

Cloud & Platform Engineering

- Lead the development of cloud-native platforms and services on AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Drive modernization initiatives leveraging microservices, containers, Kubernetes, DevOps, and

Infrastructure as Code.

Ensure platform scalability, reliability, observability, and operational efficiency.

People Leadership:

- Manage and develop engineering managers and senior engineering leaders.

- Drive talent acquisition, leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement.

- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

- Build and scale globally distributed engineering teams.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

- 15 to 20 years of overall experience in software engineering and product development.

- 8+ years of experience building and delivering enterprise software products in a product-based organization.

- 6+ years of experience in senior engineering leadership or management roles, including experience managing managers and leading multi-layered engineering organizations.

- Proven track record of scaling engineering teams and delivering complex, enterprise-grade software products.

- Experience working in global product organizations and collaborating with geographically distributed teams.
