Job Description for Director of Account Management in a SaaS-based software company

About the Role:


- As a Director of Account Management, you will be the trusted partner to enterprise clients, driving Account-Based Marketing (ABM)-as-a-Service at scale.


- With your extensive agency background and client-facing experience, you will play a pivotal role in shaping campaign strategies, leading cross-functional teams, and ensuring client success from onboarding to post-launch optimization.


- This role is ideal for someone who thrives on building strategies from the ground up, enjoys collaborating with diverse stakeholders, and is motivated by delivering measurable impact for clients.


Key Responsibilities:


Client Leadership & Strategic Onboarding:


- Act as the senior point of contact for enterprise clients, driving trust and long-term partnerships.


- Lead brand immersions and category explorations to shape nuanced, insight-driven campaign

strategies.


- Oversee the finalization of campaign messaging and creative direction.


- Guide the planning team to design holistic campaign themes and customer journeys.


- Ensure seamless onboarding by coordinating across technology enablement and integration teams.


Project Leadership & Execution Oversight:


- Own campaign delivery end-to-endensuring timelines, assets, and dependencies are flawlessly managed.


- Oversee data enrichment, campaign setup, and execution on our proprietary AI-first ABM platform.


- Run internal governance across data, planning, and execution teams to ensure operational excellence.


- Mentor and guide junior team members (ASEs and CSMs) to strengthen delivery capabilities.


Client Communication & Governance:


- Lead high-impact client meetings, with structured pre-reads, performance insights, and actionable next steps.


- Establish communication frameworks to ensure clients are consistently informed and aligned.


- Serve as the escalation point for client issues, driving proactive solutions.


Campaign Analysis & Strategic Reporting:


- Deliver insightful campaign reports that go beyond performance metrics to strategic recommendations.


- Partner with clients to co-create optimization plans that align with growth objectives.


- Identify opportunities to expand engagement and upsell services.


Tools Youll Work With?


- LinkedIn Campaign Manager


- Google Ads & Google Analytics


- Marketing Automation Platforms (MAPs)


- CRMs (HubSpot/Salesforce or similar)


What Youll Need?


- 12+ years of experience in client-facing roles, preferably from leading agencies or B2B marketing environments.


- Demonstrated expertise in managing large enterprise accounts and multi-channel campaigns.


- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and mentor junior talent.


- Strong analytical and storytelling skills to translate campaign data into business insights.


- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.


- A track record of thriving in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
