Job Title: DGM/GM - Learning & Development (L&D)

Location: Mumbai

Reporting To: CHRO

Role Purpose:

The L&D Lead will be responsible for designing, driving, and institutionalizing a robust learning and

capability development framework aligned with business strategy. The role will focus on leadership

development, functional capability building, talent pipeline creation, To own end-to-end execution of learning interventions across levels and functions, ensuring timely rollout, high adoption, measurable impact on performance, and strong stakeholder satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities (Execution-Oriented)

1. Program Ownership & Delivery

- Own end-to-end execution of all learning programs - from TNA to rollout, tracking, and closure.

- Plan annual learning calendars and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

- Personally review learning designs, participant lists, facilitators, logistics, and evaluation

outputs.

- Step in as program lead/facilitator for critical leadership or manager capability programs.

2. Training Needs Identification & Prioritization

- Work closely with business heads and HRBPs to convert business problems into learning

solutions.

- Prioritize learning interventions based on urgency, scale, and business impact.

- Ensure training plans are practical, role-specific, and immediately applicable.

3. Leadership & Manager Effectiveness Programs

- Execute leadership programs for across level leaders with clear outcome metrics.

- Drive programs on people management, productivity, decision-making, execution excellence,

and accountability.

- Track post-program behavior change through manager feedback, action plans, and follow-ups.

4. Functional & Skill-Based Learning

- Roll out functional capability programs in collaboration with internal SMEs.

- Ensure standardization of content, assessments, and certifications across locations.

- Support new role transitions, internal movements, and scale-up requirements.

5. Digital Learning & LMS Operations

- Drive day-to-day LMS/LXP operations - content upload, learner tracking, dashboards, nudges.

- Ensure high completion rates through reminders, manager follow-ups, and incentives.

- Curate practical digital content and ensure relevance, not just availability.

6. Measurement, Tracking & Reporting

- Track training coverage, completion, effectiveness, and business impact.

- Publish monthly/quarterly dashboards for leadership.

- Run post-training evaluations (Level 1-3) and ensure action plans are closed.

7. Vendor & Cost Management

- Manage end-to-end vendor coordination - onboarding, contracts, delivery, payments.

- Ensure quality of facilitators and cost optimization.

- Negotiate commercials and maintain delivery SLAs.

8. Stakeholder & Business Alignment

- Act as the single point of accountability for learning delivery for assigned businesses.

- Handle escalations related to training quality, delays, or effectiveness.

- Regularly review learning outcomes with business leaders.

9. Team Management

- Lead a team of L&D managers/executives focused on delivery excellence.

- Allocate programs, track execution milestones, and ensure accountability.

- Build strong internal facilitation and program management capability.

Requirements:

- 10-12 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development

- MBA / Master's in HR, Organizational Development, Psychology, or equivalent

- Exposure to leadership development, talent management, and digital learning

- Experience in large organizations, MNCs, or high-growth environments preferred
