
Head of Business Development - AI & Digital Engineering (India)
DevOn is entering a high-growth expansion phase in India, with a strategic focus on AI-led transformation, AI in SDLC, DevOps, and Cloud engineering. We are looking for a seasoned Head of Business Development to lead our India growth charter, drive enterprise sales, and establish DevOn as a trusted transformation partner for Indian enterprises and Global Capability Centers (GCCs).
This role is ideal for a leader who combines strong enterprise networks, consultative selling expertise, and a deep understanding of AI-driven software delivery transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive revenue growth in India across AI Consulting, AI in SDLC, DevOps, and Cloud services, with a strong focus on large enterprises and GCCs.
- Build CXO-level relationships (CTO, CIO, CDO, Head of Engineering, GCC Leaders), positioning DevOn as a strategic partner in AI-led digital transformation.
Lead consultative selling engagements:
- Identify transformation opportunities across AI-in-SDLC, platform engineering, and cloud modernization
- Articulate value through AI adoption (e.g., copilots, automation, intelligent QA, AIOps)
- Drive solutioning aligned to measurable business outcomes (speed, cost, quality, scalability)
- Develop and execute India GTM strategy:
- Target enterprise accounts and GCC ecosystems
- Build a strong pipeline through outbound, partnerships, and thought leadership
- Identify whitespace opportunities in AI-led engineering transformation
Drive large deal closures:
- Lead end-to-end sales cycles including discovery, solutioning, proposals, commercial structuring, and negotiations
- Close multi-year, high-value transformation deals
- Collaborate with global and India delivery teams to craft compelling proposals, PoCs, and value demonstrations
Establish DevOn's brand in India:
- Represent DevOn in industry forums, GCC events, and AI/engineering communities
- Build a strong thought leadership presence around AI in SDLC and engineering productivity
Stay ahead of market trends:
- Track advancements in AI, DevOps, and Cloud
- Bring insights into shaping DevOn's offerings and GTM strategies
Act as a growth leader:
- Build and mentor a high-performing BD team over time
- Contribute to partnerships, alliances, and ecosystem development
What We're Looking For
- 12-18 years of experience in enterprise sales / business development in IT services, digital engineering, or consulting
- Strong experience selling AI/ML services, DevOps, Cloud, or software engineering transformation programs
- Proven track record of closing large enterprise deals (- 5Cr+ / multi-million USD deals)
- Experience working with or selling into Global Capability Centers (GCCs) in India
Deep understanding of:
- AI in SDLC (GenAI, copilots, test automation, AIOps)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- DevOps / Platform Engineering ecosystems
- Strong consultative selling mindset with the ability to connect technology to business outcomes
- Existing network with enterprise technology leaders in India
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-scaling environment
- Excellent communication, storytelling, and executive presence
- Willingness to travel across India

- Build a strong pipeline across enterprises and GCCs within the first 6 months
- Close strategic lighthouse deals in AI + DevOps + Cloud transformation
