Role: Head of Finance & Accounts
What would you be required to do?
- Assist the leadership team with decision making about policy and strategy.
- Oversee the company's fiscal activities including budgeting and financial planning.
- Review and supervise to ensure the legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
- Identify and address financial risks and opportunities for the company.
- Define the future structure of Finance and Accounting for Design Qandy.
- Maintain accounting controls by establishing a chart of accounts and defining accounting policies and procedures.
- Review Sales/Operations/Supply Chain finance activities and work with multi-function teams (Sales, Marketing, Operations and Supply Chain) on inter dependencies.
- Review financial reports for ways to reduce and optimize costs.
- Interactions and discussions with customers and external vendors/consultants on business and compliance related matters.
- Establish financial status by developing and implementing systems for collecting, analysing, verifying, and reporting financial information, and managing accounting staff.
- Achieve accounting operational objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; and implementing change.
- Planning, budgeting and financial forecasting. Prepare quarterly financial reports. Manage the cash flow and supervise over the financial transactions within and outside the company
- Meet accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
- Checking the Bills to comply with local stipulations of finance, tax and relevant legal provisions
- Confirm financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses; coordinating the collection, consolidation, and evaluation of financial data; and preparing special reports.
- Avoid legal challenges by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforcing accounting regulations, and recommending new procedures.
- Responsible for Preparation of MIS for Revenue, EBIDTA, margin, overhead cost,, also responsible for variance analysis with Previous reported data.
- Responsible for End-to-End reconciliation of Intercompany transaction and balances monthly.
Qualifications:
- CA with 5-8 years of experience
- Strong experience in Commercial Finance and Financial Analysis
- Experience managing P&L as well as robust understanding of budgets
- Excellent organization skills: ability to plan and organize work so that it is efficient and effective
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills
- Experience in working on ERP software.
- Experience in startup is an added advantage
